Italian fashion

The character and personalities of the designers who won the top awards at the iD International Emerging Designer Awards in Dunedin has shone through in their winning garments, judges say.

An Italian emerging designer collection complete with “innovative technology, expert tailoring and construction and an inexplicable X factor”, won the big prize at last night’s 10th annual awards at the Dunedin Town Hall.

Fashion Fix

Nothing says breezy winter cool like a printed shirt to brighten up dark winter dressing, and I love ugly offers a slick way to wear it with this neat button-down collar shirt. Keep it smart with tailored trousers or dress it down with chinos.

TREND TO TRY – GO WIDE

Wide-leg trousers are the new silhouette du jour. I’m not saying you have to throw away your skinnies, but this is one flattering trend you’ll want to keep in rotation. Pair them with everything from a cropped sweater and metallic oxfords to a matching blazer and sexy stilettos.
