This season Ricochet takes its cues from Martha Graham; ‘The Mother of Modern Dance’. Graham is credited with creating a new language of movement that expressed powerful and memorable emotions.
The Ricochet AW 17 collection mirrors this feeling, focusing on fluidity and drama which is evident in the soft silhouettes and textures, crisp pleating, slashes and ties, rounded out with strong hardware detailing and metallic accents, only for them to be softened by natural pelts and hides.
Dresses are fluid in movement, made in exclusive prints & sandwashed cupro, draping in all the right places. Limestone & Lava, the autumnal colours mixed with soft fabrics including silk and velvet—the collection embraces transeasonal pieces taking you from day to night & from autumn to winter with ease.
Hues include Copper & Chalk Grey applied on loosely fitted, as well as semi-sheer pieces with cold shoulder detailing. Ricochet shows us how to match back quality leather, merino, & wool this season with classic necklines and asymmetric hems.
