When summer hits the city, the grey concrete transforms into a colourful jungle. There’s nature on the west side. Within it all, the human body moves fleet-footed.
Athletic silhouettes mix feminine styles with a slight dose of edginess, all with an array of vibrant colours and prints. We are seeing Baseball inspired sweaters with bold numbers, Hibiscus flower embroidery and zip detailing, there are denim dropped crotch trousers & shorts with striped elastic waistbands that bring late 90s aesthetics to mind, laser cut patterns, as well as Bomber jackets, bodices, bustiers, playsuits, dresses and skirts with asymmetrical hemlines and intricate shapes.
Within the beautiful editorial images beachy vibes are juxtaposed with urban space. The Westsider plays with opposites and manages to merge them both elegantly and effortlessly.
